Private Market Consortium
The Private Market Consortium, formed under Center for Private Markets, is a coalition of asset managers and financial firms collaborating on the implementation of Private Market and Alternative investments. The Consortium offers specialized legal resources, including counsel, representation, and guidance on disputes and regulatory issues involving private equity, hedge funds, private credit, real estate, oil & gas, and venture capital.
As an alliance of broker-dealer and RIA firms, the Consortium develops and maintains guidelines for asset managers and sponsors to promote consistent practices, transparency, and investor protection. It conducts initial and ongoing due diligence, sets expectations for accurate reporting, and provides continuous monitoring.
Members also share resources for arbitration and legal defense, supporting fair resolution processes and reinforcing accountability across the sector.
